The office of the Research and Development, spearheaded by its Head and OIC Dr. Maria Lady Sol A. Suazo, has successfully conducted a OneDay Workshop on Research on September 14, 2017 at the Old Library Building, SDSSU, Tandag City. The recently concluded activity was a stern directive of the University President, Dr. Baceledes R. Estal, to challenge and encourage the newly hired faculty members of the University to engage in research. During his speech, he expressed his full support to those who attended as they embark on their journey towards their endeavor on new discoveries. Dr. Suazo, who was also the speaker, gave insightful inputs on how to produce a publishable paper. The second part of the training was the write shop where the participants were divided into groups with 5 members, and were given opportunity to put into practice what was lectured during the morning’s activity. It was followed by the presentation of outputs and the critiquing of the presented drafts by no less than the University President himself, Dr. Estal.

The activity was concluded with another stern directive of the President to have the second phase of the workshop on the first week of October 2017 which will highlight the submission and presentation of the critiqued drafts.
