Aligned to the pursuit of internationalization among state colleges and universities, the University President Dr. Baceledes R. Estal and the Campus Director of SDSSU–Lianga Dr. Cynthia P. Sajot attend the forum organized by the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) as part of the GO and NGO delegation of the Philippines at Toyo University, Japan in August 17–19, 2017. UMAP has been operational for 25 years in 570 universities from 35 countries to achieve better understanding of the cultural, economic and social system and backgrounds of each university and country.
The International Forum 2017 theme is “Trends and Prospects of Student Mobility and Support in the Asia Pacific Region” promotes mobility of faculty and staff who would nurture future global leaders. Students are encouraged to study abroad in modes of scholarship, observer, visiting student and the like, the exposure of which are best venues for learning skills, in new and different cultures and languages to promote instructional exchange.
